I think this is an American Redstart. I had a blast trying to film this guy - they are amazingly fast! Anyway - it was a first for me.

Congrats on catching the red start, I've had a female show up before, but have never had the pleasure of seeing the male. Very nice shots.

Thanks everyone. They are tough to catch - someone called the Ruby Kinglet the "Crack Rabbit"- these are just as quick for sure!

I'm in Northern Illinois, right at the Wisconsin border. Thanks again for the comments everyone. There are some Blackburnian's around as well, I just can't catch them!
