Thanks for the good words, sir! Funny thing about going back... I grew up in Pittsburgh and never visited WV. Went away 12 years and now that I'm back for a short time, am filling every weekend with something new. Even visited the Paw Paw Tunnel with my Dad about two months ago. I'd recommend the WV Penn at Moundsville and the Trans Allegheny Lunatic Asylum if you haven't visited. They have sort-of monthly photography tours.
So on finding the Cathedral Falls: I was in the park store at Babcock and checking out the photography section and see a picture of some falls that, I'm like, 'oly cow these are amazing! So I checked the back of the picture and saw Cathedral Falls, did the Google, and rerouted my trip home to have a stop. How about The Google?! Not crowded during my stop on a Friday morning. There were some kids up to trouble in the parking lot so my wife stayed with the car.
Great story and great way to travel. My wife and I often reroute our trips for a more scenic route as well. That's the best way to travel. Thanks for suggestions. I just may have to try them out. I hope you enjoyed your travels. You definitely have some great shots from it.
