Saturday, despite very breezy weather conditions (ok, it was flat out windy), I had a wonderful session with these three gorgeous kiddos. Seriously, could a photographer get any luckier? Each and every one of them is gorgeous, and they were such nice kids too! All shot with the 85L using natural light AND a reflector. I decided to experiment with it more this session as I had someone (Calista...lol) to hold it and I really do like the dimension it added, especially to my back lit shots! It can be hard to avoid flat lighting when you are doing back lighting, but this really did the trick.
1 (I have this in color too, but the boys were in neon green tops...and I just don't like how it went with the backdrop of the spring green colors in the oak trees)

4 I'm a total sucker for a moody b&w shot. I seriously love this photo. It reminded me of a picture taken with film, so I tried a more 'filmy' conversion on it. LOVE it! Would love to hear your thoughts! This is definitely more contrasty and grainier than my norm, but I think it works here.
