Calicajun- I went from a 20D to a 40D to the 7D and just love it! You will not be sorry at all. The value of what you will get performance wise will be huge!

Happy Shooring! Enjoy!

Looking forward to the UPS guy coming to the house.:D

Thanks for the tip. Should be alright, as there is someone always at the house. Just hope that free shipping doesn't take to long.

To stay a bit more on subject, I tried buying the 7D from a store near the house (110 mile radius) and no one had a 7D in stock. Looked at B&H on Monday they had a 7D with 18-135 lens, looked today and that kit was gone. Guess even the online store are starting to run out of stock.

Well it looks like the "bundles" with the body only "may" be in stock but the body only with no bundle is not. According to their site right now.

When I typed my response the "body only" was in stock. Obviously with low supply that can change quickly.

If Adorama will price match with B&H, which I'm sure they do, it doesn't do them much good to raise their price. B&H is still at $1799 and it's in stock.

We will price match to anything they have in stock!

I was pretty sure you would. Too bad for me there was no lower price around to match on that 70-200 f/2.8L IS II that I just ordered from Adorama!

Plus Adorama offered me $575.00 for my 40D kit,

is that plus your 28-135?

You only spend $50 on taking your wife out to dinner

The rest of the country doesn't have New York meal prices (thankfully!:)) You can get quite a nice meal for $20/plate here in Salt Lake and it is a challenge to spend over $50 a person.

Well the 7D did take a chunk of cash out of my wallet. Also need to learn to not read this forum with the wife looking over my shoulder. She agreed with you about the dinner, I'm in trouble now.

Outside of NYC that will buy a nice dinner for two. (Unless you're into five star bistros) :p
