I would like to share with you the collection of orchid photos I recently took at this years Tasmanian Orchis Society show. I won't post all the photos in this thread as there are 21 so please click on the following link to view them.

I hope you take the time to click on the link and look at them. I would be very glad to hear any comments, thoughts or feedback people have on the photos.

:)

Crystal Venus.

Thanks, yeah the bottom middle is one of my favs too. The colours of that flower are wild (natural colour - unedited of course).

crystal (or is it ms. venus?), I really enjoyed viewing your orchid series. It can be tough to do those beautiful flowers justice, but you have done exceedingly well.

It can be Crystal or Mrs. Venus, which ever you please. :) Yes, that is my real name by the way. :) Thank you for your comment.

In case anyone is interested, all those photos were shot with a Canon 350D and a standard 18-55mm lens.

These are beautiful! I like the third one the best, with the leaf and another blossom in the background. Lovely!

Thanks very much. I am very fond of that flower too. It has a bit of a surreal feel about it. :)

Nice shots! Some of those can be very tiny. I once had to PJ a guy who raised them. The dufus writer scheduled the shoot for the week after a show. Of course, the grower had forced all his blooms to be at their best for that week, so I only had about 5 VERY small 1/4" blooms to shoot. Speaking of shooting, the writer, most of them in fact, are still on my preferred target list! :D
