I'm wondering if I could get some members to post some pics of the various portable birding or hunting blinds that they use.

I am really enjoying birding (and landscapes, and portraiture, and bla bla ... :) and am trying to entice birds to come feed on the deck. The deck is big 16'x50' rectangle and I have not been able to get closer than the 16' and plus have always had to shoot through the French door or window glass. I guess I could use the kids tent, but if there is something (inexpensive) which blends better I'd love to see it.

I use a little pop up I got from Dicks Sporting, cammo colored, works very well. Set it in the yard where you want it for a few days, they will get used to it. Good Luck. You can go online, Dicks has a good assortment.

I use two different blinds, both made by Ameristep and purchased at the local Cabela's, neither of which is particularly expensive. I have an Ameristep Chair Blind (external link) (single) - very comfortable, but you are limited as to the direction and height you can shoot. I also use an Ameristep Doghouse blind (external link) - it's very versatile and can accommodate two photographers if need be. Both blinds are easily packed up and carried into the field. Both are widely available and can easily be found for <$100.

I made a couple of blinds out of PVC pipe, cammo netting, cable ties and black duct tape.

Canon 7d 100-400 mm zoom.

I posted pics of mine last week in a thread titled "My blind and set up" if you want to search for it. I also use an Ameristep Outhouse. One just went for $20 on ebay yesterday or the day before and another model went for $10. Not common prices for these but you can get a great buy once in awhile. Places like Cabellas, Fin Feather Fur etc put them on sale for around $30 all the time.
