Has anyone been succesful in getting this to fire while connected to a Cactus V5.

Here's my setup:

  1. Quadra Ranger battery connected via sync cord with a Cactus V5 transceiver (set to Channel 1 & Tx mode (transmit mode))
  2. Quantum Trio on shoe of transceiver (set to Channel 1 & Rx (receive mode)); the Trio does not have a sync port to connect directly to the transceiver.
  3. Go into menu system on Trio and set the radio options, i.e. turn on all four zones, set to channel 1 & Rx (receive)
I'm using my Skyport trigger which fires the Elinchrom head (powered by the Quadra battery) without a problem, but it won't fire the Trio???

My thought process was that the transceiver that's attached to the Quadra battery would send a signal to the transceiver on the Trio and it would also fire.

Does anyone else have this setup working?

DC~

I do not have a Quantum Trio, but I wil give it a shot. I do believe the trio has it's own radio system. You should not set the radio options at all. Instead treat everything as manual.
