950 Senior Member More info Post edited over 8 years ago by 950. | May 11, 2011 20:31 | #1 Could use some help for the experts! I'm in Northern Illinois and these were taken yesterday. Got the quick crappy picks (both move fast and are small) and I think the first one is right but I can't seem to ID the second one. The first looks like a female Canada Warbler from my book NWF, Field Guide to Birds of North America. What do you all think? They are both really big crops as they were fast and I was watching a Catbird at the time. Thanks for the help,

They make nests out of spider silk (among other things) - what you are seeing is the bird collecting some nest-building material.
