From Vanguard SBH-300 owners...

...I'd need a little help.
I got recently this ballhead and so far I'm very pleased about how it works.
However,I'm a little confused about the quickshoe plate (QS-45 90mm) that fits on this ballhead (or the QS-46 140mm,for that matter):as I'll have to buy some more QS plates,wich ones to look for?
Do I have to stick with the Vanguards' proprietary (scarce enough...I have a hard time to find them where I live :cry or can I look for something else?
More specific:what do you guys use on the SBH-300,non/Vanguard?
And one more:if everything else fits (primarily the 55mm QR plate's width),how is another non/Vanguard dealing with the secondary QS lock pin?

Drop Vanguard an email through their website. You will get a very prompt response from a young lady (Dana) there with a phone number... or you can try the number they gave me 2 years ago for the very same thing...800-875-3322 x120. They sold them for $10 each and $5 shipping. They shipped me multiple pieces for the same price so I expect it must be some kind of minimum shipping charge.
