New Baseball with the 400

Shot with a buddies 400 2.8 IS today to see which route I want to go (300 vs 400). I've used the 300 a lot from work and only a few times with the 400. I will put it out there now that this 400 and my 7D were not pairing well tonight.

San Jose Giants vs Lancaster JetHawks. Giants pulled out the win, 5-2.

Stan, nice shots here. These don't look bad by any means.There's some noise in the last 2, but nothing too bad. Hopefully you can adjust the settings a little bit to loose some of that.

Thanks for the feedback. I think the noise is caused by shooting at ISO 1600 and shooting through the roped fence (about 6' away from it).

I didn't think there'd be that much noise at 1600 with the 7d. Interesting. What's the histogram look like? Ad did you bump it up in post?
