May 14, 2011 09:09 | #2 Good exposure on each. The last one looks a bit like the tree branches are growing from him. Which can be a good thing or you can change your angle to eliminate that.

By that i mean shoot low or high not at standing height. So on #2, kneel down and back up, or lay down and shoot wide 18-28mm. I like what you were doing with #1, hiding the background by shooting standing up looking down so all you see is grass, but that's how everyone sees children. Imagine if you got down to his level(no angle) and had a blurred background(telephotos do this effect well). They look like the need a touch more action or creativity.
