1: Watch the background - paving stones are distracting.
Expression is that of a very fed up child - unless that's what you wanted to portray.

2: A fun portrait, really like it.

I shot these with sports mode on. Forgot to change to portrait. F30. Think it should've been f15? Then I'd get more blurry background?

For a more blurred background you should aim for closer to f5.6.

Would it be ideal to shoot with a macro lense 100mm? The macro lense I could get ahold of does not have an image stabalizer :( So images come out a bit blurry because my hands shake and I don't carry a tripod with me when I take a walk with my dogs.

Yes you can shoot portraits with a 100mm macro lens. Not all lenses have IS and it's really only needed in low light.

When you say that 'my hands shake' is it because of a medical condition or because you are trying to hold on to your dogs?

Neither. All people's hands shake :) That's why humans invented monopods and tripods. I am just a noob all that time I thought the Macro lense EF 100 I've been borrowing had image stabalization. Turned out, it doesn't.

Sorry but I don't see why you think that you need IS to take sharp (or non-blurry) photos. I have three lenses and not one of them has IS but I still take very sharp pictures. When taking photos just ensure that your shutter speed is faster than the focal length of your lens. For example if you're using the 100mm then ensure the shutter speed is 1/125th or faster.
