In San Bernardino County, there is a VERY high kill shelter in Devore, CA. There are many people trying to help that shelter get pets adopted, instead of them being put to sleep. One way is to get better pictures of the animals for adoption. They are asking for photography volunteers for just 4 HOURS PER MONTH! Here is the Facebook page to "Like" and to offer your services. You do NOT have to be a professional photographer, just someone who can take nice pictures of animals for adoption, and have a love for animals in need. The pictures they currently take are awful to say the least, and never show the personality of the animal.

Here is an article showing how a photographer helped increase adoption rates at her local shelter: http://www.huffingtonpost.com …-monteleone_n_843898.html (external link)

Thanks! Debbie

It's Christine, from Friend of Devore Shelter Dogs!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE POST!!! It was wonderful of you to take the initiative to post this :) I really, really appreciate the gesture and we already have a volunteer! Seems Devore isn't ready to have us, but the CITY shelter of San Bernardino is begging for volunteers AND photographers to help, so we'll go where we are welcome and can help.

Again, thank you!
