To the left is the RAW image straight from the camera, to the right is the modifications I did in lightroom. Thank you for any feedback!

I was trying to keep my editing time to a minimum, and these adjustments took about 15 seconds. I'm trying to get more efficient with this type of processing.

as far as the editing goes, you did a good job making into a nice looking shot.
it seems like you got all the gear, just need work on the skills and, maybe a little more interesting subject matter.

I like the crop you did on it but to me it is a wee bit too saturated. But nothing wrong with it for taking 15 seconds. Not sure what the hurry is though. :)

Thanks for sharing.

Cheers

Jim

So the hurry is for trying to process a batch of photos, for easier culling then the ones that I really like to take out. When I shot JPG it was easy to see results, with RAW when it's imported with no processing it's sometimes harder for me to see.

I can agree on the saturation, I think I was trying to got more color into the mailbox which doesn't have much to begin with and think the tree got a little to much. Thanks for the feedback!

Great improvement. Can't you just use that one to adjust all the rest - at least for a starting point?

I think so, but I need to spend some time learning light room too. I know how to apply a set of settings on import, but I recall seeing a video somewhere where somebody copied the adjustments from one picture and applied them to several others.

Your talking about batch processing using the sync feature..just make your adjustments to a picture, then select it and then holding ctrl button down select all the pictures you want to apply those settings to, then click on the sync button...

Thanks! That's a huge short cut! I've still got a lot to learn about Lightroom, it has some really cool features like that. I just got to the point where I'm making good use of the snapshot features. I have several different 'versions' of pictures I print out and stuff when making frames of pictures of family for other, the snapshots are great for that! Or for keeping a great B&W conversion or color version.

I also started messing with virtual copies, which makes more sense than using snapshots for different colots, but maybe snapshots for different sizes still *shrug* I don't know, just glad I don't have hundreds of these to do like some folks :) It's a labor of love, but with five kids, there's to much labor already so time to spend on my hobbies is very limited, so need to make the most of what i do get!
