Hi guys

I am about to buy my second Yongnuo flash. I have the YN 467 ETTL for Canon which I use with my Rebel XS in ETTL mode and also off camera in manual mode.

I wanted to ask for your opinion.
Should I buy my second flash as a universal mount or Canon mount and secondly when buying my second RF602 receiver does it have to be matched to the flash or are they universal?

I am looking at the YN 460`s
Thanks

If it's going to be off camera, you can use whatever mount you want. And you don't need a matched receiver other than the camera mount style. The YN-460's are great. I have 2 of them, one old version and one new.

Should I buy the new model or the old? Is the extra 20 worth?

I would buy the YN-560 from Amazon for $65. I have one and it has been a great flash for both on and off camera use.

I meant there's new versions and old versions of the YN-460II. There is no cost difference. All stores are selling the newer one which had a better quality control and a metal foot. For $45, you can't go wrong. I can't see a compelling reason to spend more on the YN-560.

The 560 has a zooming head, but the 460 is fixed. That may or may not be important to you.

First... No cost difference between the older one and the newer, better quality one????? Why even ask?

Second... Higher guide number, zoomable flash head, all of that means more flash power and less limitations.
