Is this possible for A father of 9 who has been shooting since the 80's with the AE-1 to the rebel digital the first out to the rebel digital,30d,7d,and now the 5dmkII..with 580exII as my only flash want to get a slave unit and maybe an umbrella that will utilize the flash I have already..also what lens do I need the 85L is what I want but is that going to give me the basic shots you get from the high school photogs that take the pics for the school..
I really want to shoot portraits of my kids since they are graduating and need to know what is needed for that type of setup I know I need back drops but what lighting and what else is needed I have 2 bodies the 5dmkII and the 7d gripped and with the 28-105L and the tamaron 90 mm. and some other lenses not L series need to get there specs as I rarely use them ..but they are old and decent..can you tell me if I need to buy a book to read to get poses and what lens to use I want to buy the 70-200 L f.2.8 or the 85mm L series but which one I know to shoot them getting there diploma I will need the 200 but will the 104 L work? and for the head shots do I really need the 85L or is there a comparable lens out there by sigma or tamaron that will do the job? What does the usual portrait people that do the high school shoot use if you are one of them enlighten me I have 9 kids and will need to master this to save money and enhance my hobby skills any help is appreciated need intel..and please not the go to school and take courses as I will be doing soon just need some quick fixes since he is graduating in 2 weeks and need to get some decent pics..
