Aruba: Green Crown Night Heron

I was wandering around by the docks in Oranjestad by the casinos and I spotted this little guy hunting on the rocks. I was testing out the new 70-200mm f2.8 II lens. The sharpness and IQ of this lens is top notch! I love it.

Correction: It is a Green Heron. Thanks for info!

Thanks Steve. Indeed it is Green. I'm used to seeing the GBH and European Gray Herons. Wasn't quite sure if this one was a GCNH or as you said a GH. Thanks.

Thanks Sharon. I try to learn a little bit more each day about the various birds I encounter. I think you enlightened me on the Egytpian Goose a week or so ago. One week later I walked into a park in Amsterdam and saw a family of them!
