Don't know how long this will last but just received an email from Amazon. Full version and no discount code required.

tempted, but I may not jump now.. :) I wanted a deal on this for months now, but I am now getting used to Gimp, and I am getting more comfortable. I don't know what I will need eventually, but it does a lot more than I need for now :)

For people interested in the deal, here is an update: Amazon has that price, but it is out of stock now ("ships in 1-2 months"). They do honor the price though, when it is back in stock.

I jumped on it yesterday. I was hoping to get an email for the $200 off, but can't be greedy. $180 instead of $300...... I had to jump on it. Why wait, and wait, and wait. Just jump on a good deal when you see it and don't look back. I know some people rec'd personal emails from Amazon a while ago and got it for $99, & that's great, but I'm still happy with $180. I tried getting it for $99, even after spending thousands on there. It didn't matter. You were on an automated list, and you either got the discount code, or you didn't. They said there was nothing they could do to help get the discount, so I just waited until yesterday when I got an email from them and jumped on it. I think because I had it in my "Wish List"...?????

The good thing is that when they release a new version you can just upgrade for $99 like I did from LR2 to LR3. ;)

Not surprising. A couple of years ago when it was under $150 I snagged LR2 and that evening they were wiped out.

Could be weeks or even days.

I had an item i wanted the other day said 1-3 weeks and hours later it was back in stock. So keep in mind they might uncover some hidden stock in the back of a warehouse tomorrow. They could also be contacting other vendors to try to grab some excess stock someone else can't get rid of. If they see enough demand you can bet they will speed things along because they want your money and if it takes to long you might back out and buy elsewhere.
