I have been reading the threads on here and I think I am between these two monitors. The Asus ml239h and Dell U2311H, the HP ZR24w may be a consideration but probably larger than I need.
I am trying to step up to a better Flat panel display. Have become more serious with photography and just starting to really get annoyed by the prints not matching what I see on my monitor.
Any insights into both the Dell and Asus would be greatly appreciated since I know there are people way more knowledgeable about monitors on here.
Thanks!

For the Dell vs Asus, look at reviews to judge the build quality, ergonomics, and OSD options. Display quality likely won't be much different. Get the HP if you don't like 16:9.

The NEC 2490wuxi2 is the best sRGB under $1,000, just letting you know where you are in the range. The HP ZR24w seems to be recommended as a cheaper option.

Thanks for letting me know. Any other suggestions for the 22-23" range? Or is the Dell and Asus the most popular?
Trying to get a good monitor but maybe not the best. This is not my profession but a strong hobby with a little side business.
Thanks!

There are many afordable 23"-24" monitors available right now, ranging in price from $200-$500 USD. It's difficult to argue for any one over the others, as they seem to all come out of the same Chinese factories.

The key specification is an IPS display panel. If you see a monitor which doesn't specifically state the panel type, avoid it.
