I love using the 1D for these indoor dance shots. Who says this thing can't hang in low light?

Shot with the 1D classic and Tamron 28-75 F2.8 @ ISO 1000 (no noise reduction)

We competed StarPower earlier this season. I'll post some pics up tomorrow that I took with my 40D and a 70-200 f2.8L.

StarPower is great for letting us shoot.
There are TONS of dance companies out there.
From what I've learned; StarPower, Hall of Fame, and Star Systems allow non-flash photography. The rest take really bad pictures on their own and try to sell them to us at extreme prices. They don't know the dances and don't know when to shoot where, and they shoot at insanely high ISO so they have all keepers to sell on the spot and they end up really grainy and bad.
