Yes, Redrock CA. You would know better than I.

Hey, I have a photo almost identical to that first one!

I've driven past that little Jawbone Canyon place countless times, but I've never stopped. There's a sign there that says the area is called Indian Wells, and that confused the heck out of me the first time I saw The Chief mention he lives in Indian Wells. "He lives way the crap out there?!? About a gazillion miles from the nearest anything else?"

Turns out there's at least one other place in California called Indian Wells...

It's a pretty nice little park. A bit rustic but nice hiking. It does get spooky at times. The rocks seem to have faces in them.

Morning, nice cliff shots JJ.

Just ducked outside to look at the Eclipse, about a 1/3 covered so far. Another 20min or so it it should be totally covered.

Oh, yeah... I've heard lots of people mention those faces. I see a lot of faces in the very different looking formations in Nevada's Red Rock Canyon, too. And, Nevada's Valley of Fire.

I was a little surprised at the song they used, though. It's one of my favorites, but that's not exactly what I'd expect to hear in a Disney/Pixar soundtrack.

Not too bad. Finishes this semester of school Friday and will have three weeks off. His school soccer coach asked him to come along for the team photo this Saturday even though he just played 2 games before the injury. They've really tried to include him still in the team.

Recovery wise he is walking on it but with a slight limp. Getting better week by week.

We were on our way back from Redrock and stopped at this little restaurant. These guys were sitting behind the place.

Here's ours. (Not my pictures...)

How was the early morning sunrise bridge climb on the weekend? Get any good snaps? In fact, are you allowed to take your own camera? We couldn't on the sydney harbour bridge climb.

Well, I'm keeping mine short enough for this old body to manage as I get in shape -- hopefully by later I'll do more "real stuff":)!
