I'm pretty sure I know where that was taken. Beautiful shot!!

I bet you do, it's the road out of town, not the view from I-10. It's great for a sunset!

Just watched the local weather, and they're promising 110°on Wednesday. Summer's here.

Heh! Yeah, and just imagine our hike up that hill in Joshua Tree:)!

I'll have to try that. That really looks good!!

It definitely makes a difference and the technique is much more subtle (IMO) than just grabbing Curves and cranking things around. Much easier to keep highlights and shadows targeted...

Tony, lots of wind there!

Melody Phoenix looks like he enjoyed himself.

Looks really good Jay. Similar to something I've used from the book Photoshop LAB Color by Dan Margulis where you use LAB color mode and tweak the a and b channels. I gave it a go using Dan's method but couldn't get the same pop. Little things like this will eventually convince me to upgrade to CS5... one day.

Hi tuppers.

Yesterdays ride didn't go as well. Mayra ended up crashing and landed on her left shoulder, left chin, and cheek. We werent going fast and thank the lord nothing was broken. She ended up with 7 stitches on her chin. 2 internal and 5 external. Her cheek is swollen but getting better and will go down with ice. Scrapes on her shoulders knee and chin are looking better. The crash happened around noon. Spent 5 hours in the hospital in riverhead then rushed over in a cab to Montauk. Then the bus back home at 9pm it's a long story with more details than this but if you were wondering why no update from me it was because of this. She is doing well under the circumstances of yesterday.

Thanks Chief. She is much sore today but in good spirits. I'm about to go pick up her prescriptions and some soup for her (she loves soup).

Major bummer. Hope she gets well quickly.

Me too, I made vegetable soup yesterday and there is plenty left over in the fridge for this week.

Wow, Omar, that sucks! How far into the ride did this happen? What caused the crash? What should I be watching out for?

I hope Mayra has a speedy recovery!
