That is a nice technique, John.

I'm using it more and more. Backlit subject and you can't move to a different position? Didn't bring the tripod with you? This is a perfect technique.

What makes it effective is the Auto Align Layers function of Photoshop. While it's possible to align the layers manually, why work when you don't have to?

Yeah, I could have gone the multiple exposure route except we were moving kind of quickly. I could always load two processed images into PS and blend them. I've done my share of that. But I do like to play with getting the most mileage out of Lightroom:)!

I'm wondering how the heck they got that boat off the top of that house without damaging the house further.

Major bummer. Hope she gets well quickly.

Me too, I made vegetable soup yesterday and there is plenty left over in the fridge for this week.

Thanks Greg. She is mending quickly. Loves her some soup!

Wow, Omar, that sucks! How far into the ride did this happen? What caused the crash? What should I be watching out for?

I hope Mayra has a speedy recovery!

It happened about 17 miles in. Whats more surprising is that it occurred 2 miles after the first rest stop. So dehydration wasn't the cause. We were riding side by side. We have a rule of at least having a 5 foot gap between us when we ride like that. Cruising speed. So under 10 mph and just talking about how nice this ride is and how many nice locations we have passed by. We were even saying we should stop to take more pictures than what we have done so far. All of a sudden she starts to slow down and i see her getting too close to my back wheel with her front wheel. I warn her about it and next thing i know she bumps me and i start to swerve not because it was enough to knock me around but because i see she is losing control. So i reached out with my right hand to try and hold her up but its too late. She is already falling over on her left side head and shoulder first. That cause me to fall over on my left side.

Its a freak accident Tony. We have gone over it and still dint know what caused her to get so close to me. I couldn't go any further left because i would have been on the on coming traffic side. We never ride side by side at high speed so thats what saved her from any broken bones. What can i advice you? Always have your helmet on and always wear some sunglasses that aren't made of glass but plastic. Those two things saved Mayra from sever injury. It might look funny but you will be thankful if something does happen.

+1 for a speedy recovery for Mayra! :(

Glad it was only minor.

Happy Father's Day to the Dads!

Thanks Jay. She is mending quickly and are fortunate to be lucky.

Hi Omar, sorry to hear about Mayra's accident. Hope she heals quickly and isn't too uncomfortable..

Thanks Tim. She is feeling much better. Yesterday she was walking around with much more spring to her steps. She is actually excited about getting new rims on her bike. Her back rim is bent out of shape so i will be getting her a brand new set.

OUCH!! I hope things are better today, though usually the day after is when everything gets really sore.

Thanks JJ. You were definitely right. She was very sore in her neck and shoulder areas. I gave her a couple of messages and iced it through out the day which helped her a lot.

Thanks John. She continues to heal quickly and is looking much better this morning. Amazing how fast the face can recover from injuries.
