Or wait for the one in NH in August...or go to both?!I think we know what my suggestion would be... ; Jay

FlyingPhotog wrote in post #12618396 Right there with you Tommy. We're supposed to really start to cook around that same time... Not really ready for summer yet. Sorry to have been scarce but I've been closeted with CS5 trying to learn to apply some new tricks learned at our aviation photography symposium in San Diego. One in particular that's be bedeviling me is Luminosity Masks Vs Layer Properties and I think I've had a "Eureka" moment tonight. This is SOOC ![]() This is Treated The "Ah Ha!" came when I realized that CTL + CLICK on the RGB channel yields a selection of everything that's 50% and brighter in luminance. You can then drop that over your image as a mask using any adjustment that you want. Doing the same thing and then pressing CTL + SHFT + "I" inverts the selection to everything that's 50% and darker! Again, drop it on as a mask with whatever adjustment property you'd care to give it. Now the fun starts, choose a layer and give it a different Layer Property. In this case, 50 and up got "Soft Light" and 50 and down got "Mulitply." Then, just go in with a very soft brush and remove the masking over the highlights you want to restore and POOF! Instant "Pop!" In this case, I brushed over the leading edges, the cowling edges, inside the cowls so you can see the engines, the edges of the oil cooler intakes (little rectangles across the wing), the landing lights, the faces of the pilots and some of the details in the nose. Amazing Stuff...! VERY VERY COOL Jay!!!!!!!! vipergts831 wrote in post #12619954 Hi tuppers. Yesterdays ride didn't go as well. Mayra ended up crashing and landed on her left shoulder, left chin, and cheek. We werent going fast and thank the lord nothing was broken. She ended up with 7 stitches on her chin. 2 internal and 5 external. Her cheek is swollen but getting better and will go down with ice. Scrapes on her shoulders knee and chin are looking better. The crash happened around noon. Spent 5 hours in the hospital in riverhead then rushed over in a cab to Montauk. Then the bus back home at 9pm it's a long story with more details than this but if you were wondering why no update from me it was because of this. She is doing well under the circumstances of yesterday. Oh my! How scary! Glad the accident was not worse and glad she is improving!
