My current job only took one interview back 6 years ago and I knew when I left that interview that I got the job. The previous job took also just one interview except that I had applied 3 times with a couple years between and the third time I think they got tired of asking me to interview and just hired me  - I held that job 9 years until IBM bougth the company and ruined it.

Wish some of Tommy's job juju would fall my wife's way...

She desperately needs a new gig, pronto!

Will do, Jay. What does your wife do, work wise?

12 interviews at the same place, or 12 total? Going back on the different jobs I've held, only one took 2 interviews at the same place but the whole process was several interviews at different companies.

12 interviews for 1 position. Head of PR for a major international hotel chain.

So do I. I need to head west so bad.

I hear you mate. I love my work, I just need a massive payrise :(:(

I think I got away with 1 interview for this job. Only because they forgot they scheduled an interview for me...so I turned up, and they apologised that they forgot. But I really needed a job, so I came back, a quick interview and they offered me the spot...

Unfortunately, there are far fewer "golden opportunities" out this way these days...

We've broadened our scope of "willing to relocate" quite a bit of late.

Not many opportunities here either.

Define that statement.

How far is "relocation"?

For me, anywhere west of the Mississippi.

At this point, it extends to just about anywhere it doesn't snow...

Oh yea.. that too, unless there are mountains and the snow stays up there. :)
