Oxymoron... ;)

Wrong!!

I have all kinds of fun in the snow. Sand sucks. It sticks everywhere. It makes you itch. It's hard to walk in. It gets in your shoes. It gets under your toenails. It has fleas. It has hidden sharp objects for you to step on. It gets in your freshly cut open foot.

Humans eventually reach the limits of normal mobility in really cold weather. Witness Randy in A Christmas Story...

We don't have that problem here...

I don't know about that. Heat saps all of the energy right out of me. When I open the door and walk out into a 100+ degree day I just don't feel like doing a damn thing. It takes all the strength I have just to walk to the car...

My name is Lonnie, but I answer to Thomas too.

That's what snowpants are for. Keep a person warm! My snowmobile pants are rated for -40C and I've been out in -35C with them. They got kinda stiff, but I stayed warm.

Yup. Heat is not fun. I get various kinds of sick from heat, none of them are fun. Give me a nice, crisp, cold day and I'm feeling good!

I've lived in both extremes and I've found life much easier when there's no need to diagram how I'll get dressed before going out...

It's not hard. Regular clothes, snowpants, boots, hat, gloves, coat. If it's not too cold out (down to -15 or so) - running shoes, jeans, sweatshirt, and light gloves.

I enjoy walking barefoot in the sand. Can't say the same for snow!

Boring.

It's fine for May to September. Then it's time for a wardrobe change!
