One thing I really like about living next to the railroad is that a lot of the guys on the rail crews know us. This area is a main converging point for the crews and equipment. We'll wander over and talk to the quite often. Rarely do we encounter someone that doesn't think we should be there.

I do know to keep an eye out for the CN police though. They have a major power trip issue!! When I worked at GM I would always get the CN vehicles in for maintenance. This included their brand new cop truck. The guy that brought it in was always going on and on about how much power he had and how much he hated people on the CN property. Only time I've ever seen the cops out here was when someone tried to commit suicide by train.

The bus is one of the reasons I stuck around POTN....lots of great material there!

We did have fun, didn't we. I still talk to IanD by phone every month or so. He's gotten back into fishing, and just isn't that interested in photography any more.

Most of the railroad cops I've met have been real jerks (language moderated for forum consumption). They think they're real cops and then some.

Power hungry ***** with guns  I've seen them do traffic stops nowhere near the railroad. Friend of mine owns (with his family) the local towing company. They hate dealing with CN cops. Fortunately, the encounters are few and far between.

Crews have been out working on the tracks the last few days. Very few trains are running through the day and they've stacked them up at night. The freights are coming through about 5-10 minutes apart right now. I should sleep good tonight!

Trains and ocean surf don't keep me awake. I sleep like a baby.

Never have slept to the ocean surf. Lake surf, I have. Trains are a lullaby around here. If the trains aren't running at night, no one in the neighbourhood sleeps. Best part is when I get to ride an overnight train!

I was just a spectator at the time, but I got a big kick out of all the goings on.

Met several RR cops that were total idiots. I know they have a job to do, but some of them take themselves way too seriously.

I was glad (for Adobe's sake) to see that the bug was not an issue with losing edits when moving from one computer to another.

I still don't know what the heck I did wrong... And why do Pick Flags disappear as well? Color Flags don't...

Evening Tuppers. Nice Dlites & tail dragger there.

Cable views might want to catch my fav brand of footy. State of Origin (game 1 of 3) is on tonight. This is a annual Rugby League series between Queensland and New South Wales. It is being telecast live over your way on Fox Sports. Game starts in 2.5 hrs (8pm my time). Best players from the club teams are chosen to represent their state and State of Origin football is recognised as often being at a higher level than international games. Qld will win again of course, like we have the last 5 years running.
