Manual focus lens, works on full frame cameras. Very interested in how this compares to the Sigma 30mm f1.4 on a 60D.

Exactly.

No but, I'm actually excited because I love how smooth the focus rings are on manual lenses for video work. The question is whether or not I should sell my Sigma 30mm for it or not.

I am also very excited about this lens. Their canon lens line up has been pretty stellar so far (8mm FE, 14mm f/2.8, 85mm f/1.4), so I have high expectations for this lens as well. I ditched my 10-22mm for the 14mm and never looked back. But I'm still a bit iffy on the introductory price point of the 35mm, if it's for me or not.

If you don't need AF and feel it will improve your videos, yes. If you need AF and intend to use it for stills more than videos, no.

I don't need AF on my 30mm, as all my other lenses have AF. This would be almost exclusively for video, as 35mm on a cropped sensor is a near 50mm equivalent. One thing I dislike about the Sigma is the manual focus ring is kinda meh... but I can live with that.

The question really comes down to image quality. Will this be just as sharp as the Sigma? Will the bokeh be as good? Only time will tell, can't wait for it to come out.

If I were a betting man I would bet the Rokinon lenses start becoming hard to find here shortly and the prices will start to climb. Kinda like the Tokina 11-16, that lens went from 500 to anywhere from 680 to 1000..
I have the Rokinon 8mm fisheye and the quality you get for the price is hard to beat. Only downside I see is that it doesn't have AF.

You could be right here, but I'm thinking the case is a bit different. The Yen has been strengthening against the dollar, making Japanese made lenses more expensive. There is also a post tsunami supply and demand thing in some cases. This lens is made by a Korean company, however, so it may not fit the same bill. In fact, the earlier Samyang/Rokinon lenses dropped in price after they had been out for a while. Their 85mm is now under $300...

I think I'm going to pull the trigger on this badboy.

I heard a rumor that this lens wouldn't focus properly on infinity. Can anyone confirm/deny this rumor?

I don't know much about this lens, but that was the case with the samyang 14mm. However, with that lens, just knowing about the problem and figuring out where to set the focus ring eliminated it as a problem...
