Hey guys,
I have no experience with DSLR video, but I think it could be cool to get into. I would like to know the best DIY rig or set-up for skating and snowboarding. BTW I have a T2i.

Maybe even just buy road bike handle bar wrap for the top handle. I would suggest using conduit pipe instead of the galvanized steel because it is cheaper and little lighter. Its easy to mount mic and light on there too. They sell that strut at home depot in electrical section. This is the way to go! I will be using this one. Will be going to Home Depot within the week. Just got all of the supplies. Do you recommend I use the quick release. Gear- 550d, KONICA Auto S2, Pentak ZX-50, 18-55, 55-250, YN-560

I just used one from an old side flash holder. I bought a 1/4- 20 screw that fit the dimensions of a tripod screw but I think it may be to long and if it is too long it could cause shutter issues. Now I'm thinking I might use the top of a old crappy tripod. Gear- 550d, KONICA Auto S2, Pentak ZX-50, 18-55, 55-250, YN-560

An old tripod should do the trick nicely. I just like being able to balance the whole setup with different lenses. Hope this helps 60D

What did you use on the bottom instead of the aluminium. Gear- 550d, KONICA Auto S2, Pentak ZX-50, 18-55, 55-250, YN-560
