Know a good book or something? I notice a lot of new kids have great processing skills. Really cool effects and stuff. I just use presets and actions I can find since I am bad at those types of things. I can clean up faces, skin, that kind of stuff... thats about it.

A lot of my know how is from the web. I gave up on reading books bcoz' a lot of them are vague in showing you how.

my gf and i both have 2dr coupes and for the first while the baby seat was annoying,

the booster seat is way better, an suv is best for car seat convenience so you can stand up loading and unloading

It's gonna be a while before my daughter grows out of a baby seat/booster.

Hmm... we will see if we ever get a SUV. Neither of us is a fan of larger vehicles.

you are further than me probably, my stuff goes out for professional retouching i just shoot

it's made me a better shooter though not being able to rely on post to fix everything

I've forced myself to learn retouching for portraits since thats about half of what I do.

JD, i had a chat with another shooter in the lighting section tonight about something similar

seems there is an influx of n00bs who have good computer skills and no camera skills

these guys post more threads asking how to do it than learning by researching and practicing

it seems everyone relies on post processing skills to make good images these days

when you get guys asking what their max shutter speed is with their meter instead of looking themselves it gets annoying

so i get what your saying and i try to get it as best in camera as i can, but no one seems to care, fix it in post

Heh! That goes both ways around, Martin! At leasth that is a question that needs to be asked -- "How can I get it right in camera?" -- too many people skip that part and just ask "How can I fix this lousy picture?"!

I avoid those types of threads. People who are new into digital photography expect the magic to happen when they take that image.
