Hmm I just checked... I don't have the Ultegra brakes, which I may try and snag down the road, but with the brakes (typically $150 or so) this Ultegra set is like $1500

Bought :p

It's a 2010 GT GTR Series 1

Specs can be found here (I got a Med = 54cm)
2010 GT GTR Series 1 (external link)

$1400 with 15% off, so $1200 or so before tax. Oh and double reward points on GT so I get 20% back as in store credit. So I just bought pedals/shoes today and I'll buy a helmet and clothing later this weekend once my points hit. I ended up spending around $1650 after tax and some other small stuff, but I should have $300 or so in reward credits, so I have a list of other things to buy.

Pedals (about $100 after discounts)
Shimano Ultegra 6700 Pedals (external link)

Shoes (On Clearance about $100 after discounts :D)
Sidi Zephyrs (external link)

Sweet pick up man! You made out like a bandit! Some Ultegra components and the points to help you out with picking everything up! Has to be a light frame as well.

Yeah man. Thats why i was trying to tell you to get the best components you can with the bike. Its expensive as hell to get them later. For that you just buy a brand new bike. Unless your frame costs 4 grand in which buying the component set is just better.

Yeah, it's noticably lighter than like the R-570.

Oh and not just some Ultegra components, everything but the brakes :D

Pretty sure the components are worth more than the bike.

Yeah. From what I've read there isn't a huge difference between the 105 and Ultegra, Ultegra is a lot more expensive and a little lighter and that's about it. So I would have been happy with either, but it's nice to have a Shimano Crank and not a FSA one like I would have had on the Scattantes.

No no no... all of the components cost $1500. The brakes cost about $150, but that's the entire brake assembly.
