I was never supposed to buy a new lens. This bike purchase has been on the table for awhile. The Tokina comes AFTER the bike :p

but you can't bring the bike to Laguna Niguel

Yeah, it's noticably lighter than like the R-570.

Oh and not just some Ultegra components, everything but the brakes :D

Pretty sure the components are worth more than the bike.

Freaking sweet! I would add the breaks and your done!!! Later on all you would want is to add aero wheels to it. Thats it. Excellent choice man. IM surprised you hadn't run across it before.

I get paid Friday and really have no expensive from this paycheck, and then the next one or two should be extra large from OT, so I should still be able to get the 11-16 by then :p

Then I just need that reverse GND and 77mm WA adapter...

yeah... I see it now

the most popular function I see is the TS miniature effect that's why I was not impressed

now I can really see how I can shoot somebody in the foreground and get everything in the background sharp..

and oh the GF told me I can do that with a point and shoot :rolleyes: (lastnight ;))

Making a miniature effect is not the main reason I bought it. Controlling the DOF in combination with the tilt, shift, and double rotation makes these lenses more versatile than any other prime lens in the same FL. While everyone says you don't need it bcoz' you can do it in PS is full of crap. It's not the same.

Well I sort of had... but not entirely. I had seen the SRAM Rival version on the performance bike website before, and the Ultegra one on GT's website, but it's MSRP is like $2k, so I didn't look at it very long. The cool this to is the 2010's frame is actually slightly nicer. Both the 2010 and 2011 have a carbon fork and carbon seat post, but only the 2010 has the carbon seatstays.

Oh and brakes and wheels will be down the road somewhere, for now, they are fine.

:confused: let's talk about it when I have the PC-E already haha... I am thinking of passing up on the 16-35mm now... the PC-E takes filters..that's all I need.

have you see some pano technique using these lenses? without even moving the camera

You can use this lens for panos no problem. You just need to be patient and plan how are you going to shoot your pano.

Didn't like your other compression shorts so you got bib shorts?

Oh no i love my compressions shorts. They cost as much as these bibs. Ill wear my compression shorts under the bibs. My compressions shorts have AWESOME padding. The bibs have about 50% of the padding that my compression shorts do. Ive been riding with double padding ever since i got my cargo bike shorts. Its the best thing since you really dont feel the seat at all. I actually feel like im sitting in car. That was the tip from my seller. Get really good compress shorts that have excellent padding and you can wear them solo if you want or over another set which isnt as good. This set i bought is also my summer set since my current jersey is not the best at temps over 85.

Hmm...

Yeah I've been trying to figure out what I want to do in terms of shorts...

I need to get compression shorts, but am not really all that fond or riding around showing off my assets to everyone  and I know it's all about aerodynamics... but still.

Then again you almost look like more of a tool not wearing Lycra's while riding a road bike...

yeap exactly... I can't see how you can do the very deep DOF on PS, and the distortions as well..just not the same :D

Sweet man! Thats a bike you can hold on to for a very long time. Well worth the investment. **** if they had a deal like that around me i would have jumped on it

Oh yeah when i mentioned the brakes and wheels i meant down the road :D
