Nice Captures ... Been there done that a few times myself .


Gear .... Canon 5D Mark II gripped , Canon 5D Mark III Gripped and a ton of all the good stuff that goes along with it .

Thanks, the first pic is shot with a 16-35, 2.8 at f4 on a Mark IV from 225 feet away from the start line. The second with a 200, 2L at f4 on a Mark IV from the same spot.

It is truly unlike anything I have ever done. Been to NASCAR, open wheel. When the dragsters go by it is hard to be steady while you shoot. The smell of nitro, overwhelming and exhilarating.

second of the two posted is great, i love the heat distortion, makes you feel like you are right there. They are a tad dark, but lighting is rarely ever perfect.

Interesting, I actually like the second one better b/o the colors and the neck and neck racing. I darkened the pictures up to make the colors pop, they were actually shot lighter.
