I shot these 2 critters, but have absolutely no idea what they are! I am curious to know what they actually are thanks

I thought at first this one was a squirrel, but he had a very small tail plus some sort of a stripe that I have not seen on squirrels, he was quite fast and after a quick lens swap I only managed to get this shot of him

This one, he was quite a large critter, about 2 feet long, but also very quick. By the time I had the camera out and a lens on he was on the move, but stopped and put his head up to check where I was. I should have put on a longer lens but when I first saw him he was much closer to me just happy to stand watching me watching him, my movement getting the camera out must have spooked him. I followed him in the grass but he'd scampered into a hole under a fallen branch. I waited for a while but no luck, he stayed well hidden

Thanks guys, appreciated! I actually saw a chipmunk and did not realise it haha

I wished I would have had the camera ready with the woodchuck, he was out in the open and quite curous till I moved.
