I sat and watched this bird for quite awhile noticing that it liked to lay on the fence. I also saw it perching just fine in the tree. Then I noticed that it only has one leg. It has no problem running through the grass chasing bugs. Not sure what he/she is though

The buffy eyering, and the buffy loral region lead me to believe this is a Swainson's thrush. Hermit thrushes can look similar, but the buffy area of the eyering and lores would be broken with darker brown. That doesn't look like this is the case in the pix above.

One leg won't give it any problems. I have a female Cooper's hawk that has been living on my property for nearly five years now. She has little use of one wing, and still manages to kill sparrows, starlings and whatever else she can catch in the bushes without being able to fly.

Zach--C&C is welcome on my photos
