The colors are thick, bold, spot on without being over-saturated. Is that a plug-in?

These are all straight out of Lightroom (no photoshop work yet, I save the "real editing" for when they order pictures so that I know which ones to spend my time on).

So to answer your question... In general, I love color (most of my work tends towards a more saturated image with only a few B&W and desaturated images here and there). Having said that, I tend to stress a lot about skin tones. So if I'm spending more than 30 seconds on an image in Lightroom, it's usually because I'm trying to get the skin tones right.

Thank you (everyone) for all the kind words.

Did you use any off camera flash? Love the balloon shot.

I use off camera flash a lot - much more than what this "selection" of images might seem to imply. In this set, only the balloon image shows any obvious use of flash. And the only other two images that used flash are the last two images (maternity pic and both mom & dad together) and those are fairly diffused making it harder to tell that flash was used.

Down in the orchard there was very strong (but filtered through trees) sunlight coming from the right side of the frame. The trees were causing splotches of light everywhere, so I was using a 6' diffusion panel in each case to diffuse the light that was hitting the subjects.

Yes, but ... you KNOW where to find me! :)

And unlike some, the watermark doesn't go across their faces/bodies or make the image virtually unusable. I'll keep it. Thanks. :)

that's the reason people do that tho...the point is to make them unusable! you wouldn't print them like that obviously.

Yeah, I understand.

I'm kind of an "obstinate person". I think if my photographer did that (put the watermark across the face just to make it unusable) I would probably refuse to buy the pictures just out of spite. If I can't see the details that are important to me, then I'm not interested in buying the photo.

So I make my watermark noticeable, but out of the way (I played subtle for many years and changed to this because it wasn't getting the point across).
