Is there a cap for the back of a FA-DC58B?
I 'd like to leave my +5 diopter macro filter attached to it and throw it in the bag when not in use.
I have a lens cap for the front of the filter but the back of the filter adapter tube is open.
Thanks.

I went down to my local pro shop and rummaged about in their spares box and picked up two old plastic caps for free – some of the Chinese Clones units come with rear end caps, but not sure if they are available to buy separately. I also put mine is a very lightweight lens pouch, which adds protection as well as keeping off the dust.

That's a good thought.
If no one comes up with a source of an end cap
there's probably an op/tech neoprene pouch the right size.

Big fan of hood hats - good choice.

Thanks John. Thanks Needsnow.

That just has a 58mm filter thread, right? If so, you could also use the rear part of a filter stack cap set. It is basically a threaded cap set for the front and rear of a stack of filters.

If I'm not misunderstanding your question, the camera side of the FA is a bayonet connector that matches the front of the G12 which is hidden by the ring around the lens. So now I have a 58mm Marumi achromat on the front of the FA topped by a 58mm lens cap and then a hood hat on the open bayonet side and toss it into the camera case. Apologies if I misunderstood the question.
