I would have loved the 'net and photography forums when I first started getting serious with photography in the 80's.
It would have saved me a truck load of money on film and the learning curve with trial and error wouldn't have been anywhere near as great.
Even though there is a certain amount of "bad" information, the good info is far greater.

I agree 100%.
Here's how that worked. Shoot something, take notes of the settings, & drop off the film at the drugstore. Two days later I get it back... WTF? What happened here? Why is this one green? Why is this one light & this one next to it is dark? Yaddayadda.
Wait for the next issue of "Pop Photo" to see if I can find any clues. Repeat week after week after week...
