Hi everyone -

I took off for a weekend on the Superior Hiking trail about two weeks back and Im just now getting around to processing the images I took. There are many more, but most of those are documentry type shots of things we did and the people who were there - the ones here are applicable to this forum.

These photos are from the Beaver Bay to Silver Bay stretch of trail. We did the first mile or so on Friday night and got to our campsite around sunset. The next morning, we finished the rest of the trip to Silver Bay by about 1 PM. Ill update with the rest of the weekend as the photos are processed.

Thanks Stan - appreciate the comment.

It was certainly a nice hike - although I have to say Im a little out of shape I think. I was BEAT by the time we finished the 15 mile hike that weekend. The elevation difference from the highest to the lowest point was only about 800 feet but I swear we went up and down that entire difference more times than I could count with heavy packs.

I guess Ill just have to plan on going a couple more times this spring/summer/fall to get my body back into the groove!

That's a challenge, for sure. They always give you the net gain without including all the ups and downs.
