I have seen many great examples of HDR photography of Objects, landscapes and building but not commonly of people.

Can anyone share some examples of HDR images involving people?

I have to imagine that its more difficult because it involves a set of bracketed exposures which entails that the object which is being photographed must not be moving.

there's many HDR pics of people....
they don't braket the exposures, they use plug ins like Topaz Adjust or Lucas Art.
Or even the shadow/highlight effect in CS5. Thus allowing them to do HDR effects on one image. check Dave Hill

It's not impossible, though. Remember one can auto-bracket, and even up until the 70s, a one-second exposure was pretty common for portraits.

do you mean tone mapped?

the image posted has the "tone mapped" look.

Also, I'm pretty sure Dave Hill has made statements that he doesn't use HDR. If you watch his behind the scenes videos, you'll see why he doesn't need to. He has like 10 strobes in use on each photo.

Tone mapping isn't quite the same thing as HDR since it doesn't expand your dynamic range. It does of course give that HDR look. I haven't tried it myself, as it looks like a lot of work, but I've seen HDR images of relatively busy streets. I believe it involves auto-bracketing and a lot of time with the clone brush in Photoshop. If you're doing a portrait, it's probably not nearly as difficult. I'm betting Photoshop CS5's anti-ghost capabilities would do a pretty good job on any slight movement. I know it does a great job on moving clouds or wind-blown leaves/grass for the few landscape HDR photos I've done.
