Mossy shack

I find my photographic interest gravitating to rural ruins, especially ruins scattered about the New England forests. Near where I live is a mossy shack, almost lost to rising pond water each spring. This morning the lighting was wonderful, with mist and fog. I took a series of photos, and here are my three favorites, each processed differently in Photomatix.

C&C always welcomed. Which do you like best, and why?

I like the first one, since it keeps away from the cartoonish look you see in most of the HDR photos, but I am not sure if HDR was really necessary for that shot - a single shot should've been just fine.

Thanks for the feedback. In the non-HDR shot, the tree trunks in the foreground are nearly black at the correct exposure for the shack, although I probably could have brought them up using curves in PS.

i think a closeup or side view of the shack would bring out the different colors in the wood

I like #3. A little more open and love the details on the door.
