The 7D and 17-55mm weigh in at about 1.5kg so they're in the allowable range but I think the Black Widow is made more for things like Rebels or other lightweight systems. 5d3,17-40,24-105,24 1.4,85 1.4,70-200 2.8 is ii

I have a Canon T1i with 18-55 lens and a 55-250 lens. Very pleased with how the belt handles the weight and the camera is securely locked in. I hate straps around my neck and this makes my hikes so much more comfortable. I would recommend the Spider Pro for a 7D as it is heavier. Also the belt with it is a 3 point release system so you don't have to worry about the belt coming off. how about if running a 5DMK2 + grip + 70-200M L 2.8 IS? I've been running this combo with the BR and it works, but very tiresome on the shoulders. 5DMKII Gripped | 30D Gripped | 50mm f1.4 | 24-70mm f2.8L | 70-200mm f2.8L IS | 430EX | 580EXIIhttps://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=416554

I also have a herniated disc and this allows the weight of my gear to be carried by my hips and legs instead of my shoulder back back. Sometimes, I would use my Black Rapid strap as a tether together with my Spider holster. I usually prefer to to put the holster in front of my right hip, instead of the right side of my hip. This allows me to swing my arms when walking without hitting my camera with my right hand. _______________
