Make your brush small and stroke from the inside out.
I don't know if it was intended to work this way but many times which way you stroke the brush can change on how it fills it.
Also 99% of the time I fix the edges before adding the border.

Couldn't agree more fotuwe, I've had the Zeiss 35/2 and have done some comparisons, the Zeiss had the edge in contrast, build and the slightly wider field of view, the Samyang has the extra stop and better IQ across the range with the exception of the Zeiss being marginally sharper at the centre at f/2.
