Josh, great stuff! Love your PP!

EDIT:

Haven't shot with my baby in a long, long time. Mostly because 80% of the shooting I've done in the last couple weeks is film (bravo for film!) and a lot of the other stuff was shot on my newly acquired Olympus Zuiko 24mm.

no, but the distortion is minimal. i find a +7 pincushion useful but only with certain arch shots. 99.9% of the time i don't bother with it.

you could bump up vignette correction about +50 amt 0 mid @ f/1.4 if you feel so inclined. most of the time (probably 4 out of 5) i prefer the natural vignette.

thanks!

I bought this lens yesterday!
I think manual focusing isn't that hard, but it is hard ... So I'm stuck using "Live View" mode for now :D

But if I change my focusing screen to EG-S, is that really helpful?

Some test shot from yesterday

^ first one is awesome, however the 2nd and 3rd seems overdone. Too much emphasis on the sun rather than the face.

Love that first one Laxative! The shadows on the ground are great! Did you use a reflector?

how can we know that?

lol.

either you're gonna shoot a lot of movies with it or you're not. even if you are, the question becomes whether or not you desire to smoothly alter aperture on the fly.

c2thew: Thank you. The flare is a bit too much for my taste too, but the girl liked it =)

TijmenDal: Thank you too. I didn't use any light modification. The light wraps around the model all by itself =)

Bond_Savingsbond: Thank you very much!
