Switched to f/2, easier focusing :)

Taken yesterday! Love hate relationship with this lens. When I nail focus, I love it, when I don't, I don't want to keep it. :-P

I am seriously considering this lens. I have been saving for the 35L but this thread just gets more and more appealing every time I read a review or look at the images.

If I do purchase this lens, I will be getting the EG-S focus screen as well. I plan to use this as my main lens on the majority of my shoots (portraiture). How has everyone acclimated to MF in client situations? Any tips?

35L or rok 35, keep which one..
I just got my brand new 35L.. kind of want to sell it as I find out I love the MF a lot..
and enjoy not to go into the somewhat common 'L' fever..

Too late for that... you already have an "L Bracket" lol

(sorry for the bad joke :D)

With the EG-S focus screen and some practice you cannot go wrong. I recommend anyone who wants a quality 35mm prime for a third of the price of the L lens not to hesitate and buy one.

When working in client situations practice makes perfect. Nailing focus is not hard once you get your technique down. This lens is a keeper for sure.

uhhhh~~
Cool.. actually I got 2!

Not too late, someone is trying to buy my 35L, I ended up with keeping my rok. I like it a lot.

The only complaint is that it is so big as a prime.. and if any other, a little bit plasticky.

MF is addictive, truly, once you manage to focus(which is considered to be a basic skill for old-age photographers)

Be proud guys! and stay here posting plz~

I'm willing to bet the Sigma 35mm is going to be the sweet spot. I will be selling this lens once it comes out. I just can't live without autofocus. Tried manual focus way too many times and keep coming back to the auto world.

Completely agree. I have almost bought this lens several times, the images in this thread are for the most part outstanding. But autofocus for those quick needed shots is essential. I'm waiting on the sigma!
