I got one off ebay for $11

I had a $19 one on my 5D2, but then I upped to the 5D3, and they don't make one for the larger screen:( Wish they did, cuz that would solve my focusing probs.

i want this lens but now the new sigma is about to drop and that zeiss 1.4 looks very tempting is the zeiss worth the extra 1400$

No. The Zeiss is not worth it. Not nearly. I've shot with the Zeiss, and it's not much better. Maybe 3% (in terms of IQ), if that. The smaller size is nice, as is the metal housing and slightly smoother focusing (but the Samyang's isn't bad either), but it's VERY heavy.
And it doesn't have a manual aperture ring, which I find a BIG disadvantage. That's partially why I like my Samyang so much.

I just can't live without autofocus. Tried manual focus way too many times and keep coming back to the auto world.

This is where the man are seperated from the boys ;)

I guess I'm a boy :D But this boy is learning that photoshoots move faster than manual focusing @ shallow dof.

actually, i'm finding it's mostly a matter of practice, even with fast moving subjects.

one thing you can do that no AF system can do is predict. once focus is preset then it comes down to proper timing.

at this point i'm working on my focus movements, ie, tracking focus on an object moving towards/away from the camera, and i'm finding that too can be learned so that it becomes second nature. i'm not that good--yet.

i realized the other day that i haven't AFed in nearly a month, between this, the samyang 85/1.4, and my tokina 116. thank god i don't have to spend the money on a 5dm3. ;)

My lens arrived today! Just did some test shots and now I know why people are using live view. My EG-S screen should be here next week so hopefully I can go back to looking through the VF. So far it's great. Can't wait to try it in the daytime. :)

^ That gives you a pretty nice set!! The rokinon 14, 35 and the Canon 50 1.4.

I'm envious!

Thanks!

I hope to round it out with a 135L so I can get some reach and compression! :)

fwiw, i have found this lens to be remarkably free from flare. as a result the hood no longer gets used (or even put in the bag).
