I am totally blown away by the pictures in this thread.

I am tempted to get this since I am in the market for a 35mm, but need advise from owners of this lens. Will it be challenging to use this lens in street photography and in photographing very young kids, who just can't seem to sit still?

Manual focus is a challenge, and moving subjects will be challenging as well. I decided to go for it, even though it's manual focus, but most of my subjects are still.

You can find out easily enough, I think. Turn the AF off on one of your other lens (particularly if you have a zoom that covers 35mm and set it at 35) and see how it goes. That will be much cheaper than spending $600 to find out!

I am still trying to fight my desire for this lens. I have a pretty new 50mm Sigmalux. As the focal lengths are pretty close, I don't need this lens, right?.... Right??

my 2 1/2 year old can't figure out if he wants to sleep, watch curious george on the ipad, or chew on his teddy bears foot... i think he's doing all three.

It's actually an action that I got my hands on. It's simply a "film tones". It is several layers adjusting curves, color balance, and gamma. There are about 9 different layers.
