I think something might be wrong with my lens :(

Looking at my night time shots, and even some of my day time shots, it looks like something might be wrong with my lens. I see some strange purple "halos" or circular areas in the sky shots.

This also can be seen when shooting at f1.4 - f2 at a blue sky. It is easier to see if you under expose the image a bit.

Is any of your 35mm F1.4 lenses doing this same thing? I'd appreciate it if you try the under exposed blue sky shot at f1.4 and let me know.

Here is what I am talking about. You can see it very clearly here, and also on my other shot up thread a little.

I would say that what you have there is the normal lens vignetting. This lens has been measured to vignette 2.2 stops at f1.4 and 1.65 stops at f2, which is rather high. If you use Lightroom to PP, this problem can be solved using the available lens profile.

Hey

I will buy this lens soon.
My DSLR is a 600D so I think I need a AF confirm chip for focusing (I don't want a split focusing screen).

Someone has some recommandations for a chip? Because on ebay there are a thousand ones and I would like a reliable one, which can be use on a (next) FF DSLR.
