Hello to everyone,
i have bought this lens a couple of days ago but i noticed a strange click-sound when i turn it up or down. Seems like something is moving inside...did you guys noticed that on yours?
No problem in focusing or strange image-quality issues apparently...

Thanks.

I missed the Amazon's deal today when they were selling this wonderful lens for $375 and honestly hate all those who got it on time:(

what do you mean by “turn it up or down”? the aperture ring clicks, that’s completely normal.

Nono, the sound appears when i flip the lens upside-down and viceversa. It's seems that something inside the lens just fell by gravity!

that’s kind of weird, you said it doesn’t mess any pictures up though, right?

Nope, images are sharp and perfectly focused.
Another strange thing that appeared only the first day, probably related to this thing that is falling: when i was pointing down the lens and try to move the focus ring i listened another strange clicking-sound from the ring. Maybe this thing moving inside the lens touched the focus system...now seems fine though.

After seeing such awesome photos and hearing people rave about this lens, I'm seriously considering buying it. The only thing holding me back is the manual focus. I'm going to practice using manual focus on my lens and see how I do

It also depends on the lens you are using for practice. If that lens has a short "throw," then focusing won't be as accurate as with the Samyang 35mm because the focusing ring covers a more detailed/defined (what's the word) set of distances.

Manual focusing with my Sigma 85mm is a lot more difficult than with the Samyang because I can go from MFD to Infinity at a flick of the wrist.

No its a standard lens on a crop, equivalent of a 56mm on full-frame.
