fish looks completely dried up. :(

that’s what happens when people overfish. they take more than they need and just leave the rest on the beach. sad really...

I noticed today that the focusing ring on my lens is a bit loose in some points. When I'm turning the ring quickly back and forth there is some looseness, not sure is the focusing responding either in those bits. Is this normal or should I send it back?

How does this lens stack in terms of video as well as the manual focusing ring quality wise?

The MF ring is smooth...much smoother than my 70-200f/4L when I had it (my only L experience). It's also very insensitive (it covers a wider range so it's easier to fine tune focus.)

I don't have the 35 yet, it's coming this week. But the 85 and 14 have sweet, smooth focus rings. Better than any lens I've owned including the Siggy 30 & 50mms, the 135L, the 35L, and the 200 2.8L

Hi guys - just got mine today from amazon. So far, I am a bit disappointed that I hear and feel a small thud in the lens when I move it up and down on the camera body. Initially I thought that it might be a loose mount, but the lens is secure onto the body. It feels like there is something loose in the mid portion of the barrel, just like this guy describes in his review :

have any of you got this issue also? would like to get feedback since I am inclined to return it. thanks

1. it doesnt bother me terribly either BUT.....my concern is that there is actually something loose in the lens, which I was told is a sign to return it with all due force. I am thinking there is a high likelyhood that one of the elements is loose.....and I am worried about future misalignment ?

2. I am also surprised that there is no AF confirm chip on this. I use my Takumar with AF confirm and that is decades old. Seems that a new lens should have that.
